-I am an architectural and interior designer. My design firm is called Yilai Yilai Design, which is named after my wife. In my spare time, I enjoy tinkering with and building scale models of master architects' works. In 2019, I founded UNMAR, a line of unmarked assembly model products, driven by my personal interest and pursued during my spare time. Yes, as you might have guessed, UNMAR comes from "UNMARKED."

In 2019, during the COVID-19 lockdown, I started making models while staying at home. I read extensively and sought out a wide range of design materials, created some exquisite architectural models, and shared them with my designer friends. Later, I produced models for various design schools to be used as teaching aids. After that, I went on to design and develop many small model toys. In 2026, I founded and registered the architectural model brand UNMAR.

 ===== What is UNMAR and why? =====
-Unmar, short for "unmarked," emerged from my extensive experience in designing architectural models and assembling commercial building puzzles. I gradually realized that rigidly following instruction manuals trapped me in a monotonous cycle: "check number → find corresponding part → retrieve and assemble according to numbered diagrams." Personally, I rarely rely on part numbers when building models—instead, I prefer locating components directly based on the visual design displayed on the colored box, unless the structure is exceptionally complex.
+  * I've found that if I remove the part labels like A1, C6, E3 from model assembly instructions and rely solely on the diagrams to find and successfully assemble the parts, the process becomes quite enjoyable—because it eliminates the tedious hassle of searching for parts by their labels.
+  * If the instruction manual can be designed to minimize part markings as much as possible, I think that's a highly creative approach.
-This prompted me to reconsider: why not minimize or even eliminate these numbering systems altogether? I aim to guide users toward adopting my intuitive approach, as I believe an image-driven assembly process feels more engaging and inherently natural. By reducing dependency on numbered instructions in my latest designs, I hope to offer users a more fluid and enjoyable experience. Moreover, this visual thinking method significantly benefits children’s cognitive development—it encourages them to think like artists from an early age!

-我是一位建筑与室内设计师，设计公司名字叫以来伊莱设计，这取自我妻子的名字，空闲时我总喜欢折腾制作一些大师的建筑模型，2019年开始，我利用业余时间与个人兴趣创办了无标记拼装模型产品UNMAR，对的，你应该能猜到，UNMAR的由来就是UNMARKED。
+我是一位建筑与室内设计师，在中国经营一间设计公司-伊莱设计（Eli Design），我对建筑模型制作的兴趣最早在设计学院时期，2019年新冠空闲在家开始，我阅读和寻找大量的设计资料，制作了一些精美建筑模型，并将他分享给我的设计师朋友等，而后又制作供应给各大设计学院作为教学用途，再之后又设计开发了很多小模型玩具，2026年创办并注册了建筑模型品牌游玛（UNMAR）。

 ===== UNMAR是什么？ =====
-之所以采用无标记的说明书，是因为我和儿子一起拼装玩具的过程中，按标记寻找零件如A1,A2,B2,C4...等感觉到复杂与烦恼。我就想为什么不能按图形呢？我能直接按说明书的形状可以找到零件，为什么要那么复杂的按那些数字标记来寻找零件？
+  * 我发现把模型拼装说明书上的零件标记如A1,C6.E3等去除，仅根据说明书上的图形就能顺利找到零件并且成功组合上，这个过程会感觉到相当有趣，因为免除了在按标记找零件的烦躁过程。
-于是我开始尝试设计一些无标记木质玩具，2026年我为UNAMR注册了商标与工厂，UNMAR就这样开始了。
